Asics GT II/Gel Lyte Speed

Normally I don't get too worked up about Asics. They're pretty lame on the regular. But a couple of their recent releases have caught my eye. I've been getting more into throwback runners in the last year so these pretty much fit the bill. The first, the GT II, isn't exactly a release. Apparently some dude named Ronnie Fieg who works at David Z in New York designed these, got a sample made, and they never went into full production. Nevertheless, he's giving them away March 17th on Twitter. So if you wear a size 9, hit him up. Details. Regardless of the scarcity, they're nice.

Secondly are these Gel Lyte Speeds. Real simple colorway (I guess we can call it OG, but let's not say it out loud, it sounds dumb) with some nice details like the speckling on the heel. They might be tough to keep clean for the next month or so, but what can you do? Releasing at "select Asics accounts" next month, which, as we all know by now, means probably not Ohio. Check the innernettes. Keep it up Asics.
